Ahoy!

We are Whiskey’s Wake, a Celtic rock troupe originally from Salt Lake City, Utah. Our music is a distinct blend of punk energy, layered harmonies, and choruses designed for crowds to join. We draw inspiration from the greats of Irish music, punk, and ska, but strive to leave our own mark on the genre.

We are set to release our fourth album in Fall 2026: Until Death, It’s All Life. Please follow us on BandCamp for early access to our new record.

We hope you enjoy our music and find it worth a listen.

Propaganda

Our music has attracted significant positive attention in the small, yet mighty Celtic punk rock scene, capturing positive reviews from the main purveyors of the genre, such as Shite N’ Onions and London Celtic Punks, as well as interest from folk audiences, including the Great American Folk Show with Tom Brosseau, Celtic Crush Radio, and The Loft FM.

Our music has been featured on SiriusXM’s Underground Garage, Faction Punk, and Stevie’s Coolest Songs!, and found regular rotation on stations across the country, including KBCZ (Boulder Creek, CA) KBRE (Merced, CA) KFQX (Seattle, WA) KSYM (San Antonio, TX) KUOM (Minneapolis, MN) KVCU (Boulder, CO) KXUA (Fayetteville, AR) KXUL (Monroe, LA) M3 Radio (Brooklyn, NY) WCNI (New London, CT) WHFR (Dearborn, MI) WLFR (Galloway Township, NJ) WODU (Norfolk, VA) WQRR (Reform, AL) WRAS (Atlanta, GA) WSUM (Madison, WI) WUNH (Durham, NH) WUOG (Athens, GA) WVMO (Monona, WI) WXOU (Auburn Hills, MI) WZMB (Greenville, NC) WLAS Lasell Radio (Newton, MA), and many more!

“Distant Lands is one hell of an EP and as you can tell I am a very big fan. Every song here is top drawer and can only help the band with their plans to rise to the top of American Celtic-Punk… Pure Celtic-Punk at its best with the story being told almost as important as the tune. Superb!”

“Wake Up, Whiskey, the band’s second release is a six-song collection of what I would describe as 90s indie rock — you know, all happy and jingly — meets a bottle of Paddy Irish Whiskey. Well for the first four songs at least. By song five they’ve downed the bottle of whiskey and gone is happy and jingly and now they are barroom brawling…”
